Overview of Services

Established in 1997. Offers Sanger DNA sequencing using a 3500XL Genetic Analyzer. In 2013, the core acquired an Illumina Miseq and began offering Next Generation Sequencing Services. Main NGS services are Small Genome Sequencing, Metagenomics, and RNA-seq.

Genomic – sizing and integrity analysis of genomic DNA – gives DNA Integrity Number (DIN)
RNA – sizing and integrity analysis of total RNA – gives RNA Integrity Number (RIN)

RNA – sizing of messenger RNA
